The Swiss-Ecuadorian family business Arbofino is committed to climate protection and promoting biodiversity in Ecuador.
Thanks to an innovative concept of impact investment - in which commercial teak plantations are combined with natural forest reforestation - for every 100 hectares of plantation, 50 hectares of conservation area are created at the same time in the form of biodiversity corridors and compensation areas. To achieve an even more positive impact, Arbofino also offers pure natural forest reforestation and protection of tropical rainforest for companies and private individuals. In such projects, it focuses on a holistic approach. This includes securing the land through its own Bosquefino Foundation, long-term monitoring of the nature reserves and scientific and social projects.
