Parliamentary Event by SDSN Switzerland
Switzerland needs to act more coherently to meet its climate targets. Together with SDSN Switzerland, we are bringing the findings of a recent Swiss Federal Audit Office report into the parliamentary process.
What does SDSN Switzerland do?
SDSN Switzerland is the Swiss network for sustainable development solutions. As part of the global UN initiative SDSN, it connects actors from academia, business, politics, public administration, and civil society. Its goal is to translate the sustainable development goals into practice through scientific grounding and concrete solutions.
We are supporting SDSN in bringing the findings of the Swiss Federal Audit Office (SFAO) report on the Sustainable Development Strategy 2030 into discussion at a parliamentary event with the SDG and Climate parliamentary groups.
Why is Clima Now supporting SDSN Switzerland's parliamentary event?
A report by the Swiss Federal Audit Office published in April 2026 makes clear that Switzerland needs to act more efficiently and coherently to meet the climate-related targets of its Sustainable Development Strategy 2030. Currently, the political framework conditions are insufficiently aligned and in some cases work against the strategic goals.
It is crucial that the report's recommendations do not go unheeded, but feed into the political process as a basis for action. Thanks to its cross-party orientation and thematic expertise, SDSN is ideally positioned to initiate this process through the parliamentary event. This cross-party collaboration, led by SDSN, helps pave the way for the next broadly supported step in Swiss climate policy.
